The improvement of every ACM is coordinated by the AZA Animal Welfare Committee and managed by AZA’s Conservation, Management, & Welfare Sciences Department. A complete ACM Template is on the market to all AZA members. The template is split into chapters, every of which focuses on a unique animal care or administration subject. ACMs are considered works in progress, since practices continue to evolve by way of advances in scientific information. The use of data within the manuals should be in accordance with all local, state, and federal laws and laws in regards to the care of animals.
